With Valentine's Day right around the corner, how about we talk about self-love? Even if you are happy in a romantic relationship, it's important to remember that it is essential to show love to yourself first and foremost! I love metta meditations, also known as loving-kindness meditation.It’s simple. Repeat these phrases: "May I be happy. May I be healthy. May I be safe. May I be at ease."
Whenever I am feeling anxious, I close my eyes and repeat these to myself a few times until I can start to feel the messages in my body. Try it!
Some of my other favorite self-care practices include going for a walk, making a cup of tea, watching a sunset, moving my body, and yes… even watching TV! (Can we talk about Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown?! I AM OBSESSED!)
